In the western observation tower of the Helfenstein castle ruins, you'll find a small, charming castle tavern, run with great attention to detail. In a rustic atmosphere, visitors are treated to hearty snacks, homemade cakes, coffee, and a selection of drinks – perfect for a relaxing break after the climb. 🧀🍰☕ Open from April to October, Sundays and public holidays, and Saturdays if the weather is good. A nice touch: A flag hoisted on the tower indicates from afar whether the tavern is open. 🏳️

From the Helfenstein Castle ruins, a breathtaking view opens up over Geislingen and the surrounding Fils Valley. The town is nestled in a wide valley, surrounded by the gently rolling hills of the Swabian Alb, which transform into a colorful sea of leaves, especially in autumn. 🏞️🍁

The Fohlenhaus Stone Age Cave in the Lone Valley is a fascinating destination for nature and history enthusiasts. Hiltenburg Hut of the Bad Ditzenbach local group is located directly below the Hiltenburg castle ruins. The hut is always open on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. The hut is closed in December.

The castle tavern is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays when the flag is hoisted.
