Nice reservoir. A short break is always worthwhile.

The dam in the Perftal mainly serves as a flood retention basin. It was put into operation in the early 1990s. Bathing is not allowed here, but a stop is still worthwhile, as there is a restaurant on the shore and in summer there is also a kiosk.

The Obernau dam with its circular routes is always worth a visit. Clear recommendation to leave the paved path directly on the water and try a slightly larger arc over the forest paths.

The pond is located directly on the Ilsetalpfad Rothaarsteig track and is used for fish farming. Therefore, there is a ban on fishing and bathing for humans and dogs. Here at the pond there is the possibility to take a break. There is a shelter and two benches with a table there. When I was there today, there was a light layer of ice on the pond.
