The 12 m high observation tower of the Castellberg near Ballrechten-Dottingen leads from the Castellberg hiking car park via the Arnold-Köberlin-Weg on a level route past the Castellhöfe around the Castellberg, a unique nature reserve of approx. 10 hectares. Via the ascent "Keltenweg". on the south side of the Castellberg, you get to the viewing tower. The tower, built in 1962, offers a view of the 65 villages on the level. In the southwest you can catch a glimpse of Basel. To the west are Tuniberg and Kaiserstuhl in the Upper Rhine Plain, with the Vosges in the background. The tower is freely accessible.

The Schönberg (historically Schinberg) is located on the southern outskirts of Freiburg im Breisgau and is around 645m high and the local mountain of the municipality of Ebringen. The DAB transmission mast of Südwestrundfunk (SWR), which stands on the Schönberg summit and has been in operation since 2013, is striking.
