Our church in Graupa was consecrated on October 17, 1909. Until 1927, the church and congregation were a daughter parish of Schönfeld near Dresden. In 1927, the congregation became independent, and the Elbe village of Birkwitz was transferred from the Dohna parish to Graupa. At the same time, the first pastor, Gotthold Gocht, began his ministry in Graupa. Since there was no parsonage, the "New Hymnal Fund of 1888" acquired the Villa Abendstern on Borsbergstrasse, which is still used as the parsonage today. From the S163, the descent is steep. Before you get there, be sure to enjoy the magnificent view of Lilienstein and the Bastei and take a photo!
