The seven wind turbines on Galgenberg (381 m) in Chemnitz-Rabenstein are visible from afar. On Galgenberg in the Rabenstein district is a wind farm consisting of seven wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 10,600 kilowatts (kW). Four turbines with a capacity of 2,000 kW each have been in operation since 2010, and three additional turbines with capacities of 600 kW and 1,000 kW each were erected in 2001. Fortunately, there are restaurants again on the weekend, even if it's just a snack bar, but there's a pretty good selection.

In the Middle Ages, people searched for ore here, but apparently nothing was found. The name of the hill, Totenstein (Dead Stone), probably comes from the dead rock. Today, the protected and rare luminous moss grows in the tunnels.
