This part of the trail is only recommended for e-bikes as it is too flat and has over 200m of ascent, which drains the last bit of strength from your legs. My conclusion: the longest trail in Switzerland is a pointless piece of hiking trails, it has nothing to do with a real trail.

Strela Pass 2346 m A wide, grassy pass from Davos to the Haupter Tälli. The pass is dominated to the east by the Gross Schiahorn and to the west by the 2636-meter-high Strela. The Strela Pass has been one of the classic Walser routes since the 14th century. Climb from Davos on gravel and asphalt roads with almost no traffic. Big hustle and bustle at the top (mountain railway), then quieter again towards Aebirügg. At the start of the Epic Trail on Aebirügg there is a large picnic area with a fireplace, tables and benches (and people). Starting point for some beautiful trails, almost all S2.

A mountain house that can only be reached without the train, the view from the terrace is unique... and the homemade Rösti with bacon and cheese are world champions...
