The Bruce Freeman Rail Trail is a nice, wide paved path that runs through several communities from Lowell to Framingham and follows the 25-mile route of the old New Haven Railroad Framingham & Lowell line. It's a fantastic scenic route that passes various beautiful landscapes and charming small ponds and is widely popular for cyclists, hikers, and runners.

Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts is a historic and natural landmark famously associated with author and philosopher Henry David Thoreau. In 1845, Thoreau lived in a small cabin by the pond for two years, inspiring his influential book Walden, which explores themes of simplicity, self-reliance, and harmony with nature. The pond, a glacial kettle-hole lake, is part of Walden Pond State Reservation, encompassing 335 acres of protected land. It features hiking trails, a beach area for swimming, fishing spots, and interpretive programs about Thoreau's life and work at the new visitors center. Visitors can also see a replica of Thoreau’s cabin and explore the environment he cherished.

The Nashoba Brook Stone Chamber is in the Nashoba Brook Conservation Area in Acton, Massachusetts, and is an underground stone structure commonly referred to as the "potato cave." This name originates from the belief that it once functioned as a root cellar. Excavations in 2006 support this view, indicating construction during the 18th or 19th century for food storage. However, some theories propose it was actually much older, positing it was originally a pre-colonial Native American ceremonial stone landscape structure. Local lore also suggests it provided shelter for 19th-century railroad workers. The restored chamber is part of Acton's "Trail Through Time," which highlights the historical use of the Nashoba Brook area

"Ponyhenge" is a somewhat quirky local landmark in Lincoln, Massachusetts. Just off the road you can see a collection of plastic rocking horses arranged in a series of circles in a field. Some find it creepy, some find it endearing, but regardless of how you feel, it's a hard-to-miss sight as you ride around the area!

The Harvard General Store is a beloved local institution. Sitting right on the edge of the town square, this general store is an amazing place to begin or end a ride. It's a great place to grab a coffee, sandwich, or pastry with indoor and outdoor seating.

This little gem of a location is nestled just between the two small water features of Eldridge Pond and Frog Pond. The views out over the tree-lined shores of both are simply stunning, and in the fall, they are even more gorgeous.
