Swimming at Lake Millstatt Swimming out onto the mirror-smooth lake early in the morning, building sandcastles with the children, jumping into the lake after a bike tour or simply enjoying a relaxing day of swimming - there are more than a dozen opportunities to do this at Lake Millstatt. 12 lidos and five free lake entrances invite you to swim in Lake Millstatt.

It's already low season here in mid-September and you can tell. Everything is quieter and you can enjoy the lake. No comparison to July and August.

The Millstätter See is a lake north of the Drautal near Spittal in Carinthia (Austria). It is 588 m above sea level, is 11.5 kilometers long and up to 1.8 kilometers wide and is Carinthia's second largest lake after Lake Wörthersee, the deepest at 141 meters and the most water-rich lake at 1204.5 million cubic metres. Larger settlements on the lake can only be found on the northern shore, including Seeboden, Millstatt and Döbriach, the three largest towns.

The beautiful, narrow Millstätter See is eleven and a half kilometers long and offers many bathing opportunities. There are several towns on the northern shore, such as Millstatt and Seeboden, while the southern shore is almost entirely undeveloped. There is a spacious lido in Millstatt, for example.
