one of the best trails on the countryside

Hartford Street is a scenic, wooded road stretching 3.7 miles, ideal for a visit on a road bike. It runs between Fork Factory Brook Reservation and Rocky Woods Reservation, offering a peaceful ride through wooded areas.

Definitely a highlight of the ride. A large section has a nice view of the pond. It also has bridges getting you past the busy roads in the area making it dramatically more bikable.

This is a nice view over the winding Charles River with the old railroad bridge and the forest of Medfield Charles River State Reservation.

Perfectly paved rail trail connecting Natick and Saxonville. The trail leads along Lake Cochituate and offers quiet nature and even some nice views.

Super nice road. Soft rolling grade to keep you working. Shaded, little traffic, good pavement.

A useful place to stop for a break is "the Charles River Coffee House" , just up the street from the river.

A winding smooth rolling road, with not too much traffic. Trees, ponds, swans, and McMansions on either side, and all the time a slight gradient keeps you working. Towards the end, as you pass through more open fields, watch for the kick in the tail!
