Second bridge (built in 1927) is a stone arch bridge. The Jungfernbrücke at the "Königsruhe" inn. According to legend, only virgins should cross them to prevent it from collapsing. Later, the innkeeper would ring a bell as soon as a maiden stepped onto the bridge (Source: Wikipedia).

No less legendary, the Roßtrappe, a 403 meter high granite rock, rises from the Bodetal above the left bank of the Bode. There are numerous legends surrounding the rock, which is considered one of the greatest rock formations north of the Alps, due to a depression that resembles a footprint. This story is vividly told in the legend pavilion high up on the Roßtrappe. The Bodetal has another highlight with the Thale Adventure World cable cars. It is the starting point of the cable car to the Hexentanzplatz and the chair lift to the Roßtrappe and offers a wide range of fun and leisure activities for young and old with various fun parks, a show hydroelectric power station, a downhill route and the Hexenkessel.
