I was there in April but there was still a bit of snow. I would recommend the spring and autumn months, but not too early in the spring, as it is often too hot in the summer.

Very beautiful and easy to reach summit with fantastic views in all directions. In winter, a beautiful snowshoe tour leads here from the Chrüzhütte.

From Biel-Kinzig, the path marked blue and white leads up over the Rossstocklücke, which requires a head for heights and sure-footedness. The summit can be reached via easy paths from Riemenstalden ... either way it is a very worthwhile panoramic summit with a wonderful panorama 😍. Since it can be visited from several sides, it is usually well attended and in winter even with snowshoes or skis.
