Drachenburg Castle is a castle on the Drachenfels in Königswinter with a stunning panorama of the Rhine. Built between 1882 and 1884 in the Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance styles.

From here you have your first view of the Drachenburg - very impressive.

You should definitely have been to the castle at least once. Dogs are allowed to enter the castle park but not into the castle itself

Drachenburg Castle is a must-see. You pass here on the way to Drachenfels. The way to the ruins is worth it.

A little below the Plateau you will pass this vantage point of Drachenburg Castle on the way. The view of the (almost kitschy) castle with the Rhine and the Bonn skyline in the background is great. Photos from the small platform almost automatically have postcard quality.
