The Klintholm Shelter Area offers a primitive overnight stay (or just a break for a snack) right next to the beach, providing a magnificent sea view. It consists of two bookable wooden shelters with space for 14-16 people in total, and features a campfire site and primitive toilet facilities.

Out of season, the small town is quiet and not very busy. Cafes invite you to sit down. If you are on your way to a holiday apartment on the coast, you should go shopping here quickly 🍎🥕🥖🧀

Stege is the capital of the island of Møn in the Danish South Seas and has 3,842 inhabitants (2018). Interesting are the frescoes in the choir of the three-aisled St. Hans Kirke. Main shopping street of the city is the Storegade. Every Tuesday in July and August, the Stege Festival takes place. Origin of the city was a castle, which was built by the Danish King Waldemar I in 1175. From the former city fortifications today only the mill door (Mølleporten) is received at the northern exit of the city. The ditch next to the gate was then filled with water. The small church is worth seeing. First laying of the foundation stone in the 11th century - the painters around 16th century. Simple and very nice.

Although this medieval city is not particularly large, it is still Møns capital. Parts of the city wall and the city gate are still preserved. In addition, the small winding streets provide a lot of charm and reflect the medieval history of the city.
