This isn't a pond, but a watering place. Horses used to be washed here after work. The entrance was on one side, the exit on the other. Now it's completely enclosed and serves as a habitat for fish and ducks.

Kreuzenstein Castle rises impressively above Leobendorf on a hill in the Rohrwald forest. The site was strategically important due to its elevated position, 266 meters above sea level and approximately 100 meters above the Danube. The castle was reconstructed in the 19th century on the ruins of an earlier castle.
