The Seine flows through the city of Rouen, cutting the city in two. On both banks, the quays are very well laid out. On the right bank, you can admire the numerous boats moored there and enjoy the terraces set up in old hangars. The walk is very popular with Rouennais.es.

The big clock is one of the main monuments of Rouen that you can contemplate for hours because it is so beautiful. It is a belfry on which a clock was mounted in the 14th century. The dial is 2.5 m in diameter with a single large hand whose point is a sheep. We also see the phases of the moon and a weekly calendar. Importantly, in Rouen, they say LE Gros Horloge. Why, no one knows... Beneath this clock, a magnificently sculpted renaissance arch overlooks the street. Angels are sculpted along this arch, one of which has his head upside down, a symbol of the dissatisfaction of the sculptor not being paid enough for his taste (The French have not changed in 600 years)

Gros-Horloge (Big Clock) The Gros-Horloge, or Great Clock, is one of the best-known monuments in the French city of Rouen, Normandy. It represents its symbol par excellence. The characteristic building, flanked by the Beffroi and a fountain, consists of a large Renaissance arch straddling the ancient main street of the city, the Rue du Gros-Horloge, surmounted by a two-dial astronomical clock from 1389. It was declared a historic monument by the French government in 1862 taken from Wikipedia
