There is work on the sea wall at Oystermouth and you will need to ride on the main road on certain sections,should be finished by the Summer.

The Marina is a great place to run. It is really flat and you can run past all the boats along the paths. The beach is close by and there are cafes and pubs that you can start or finish it. There's also public toilets there and there is a nice 5k loop or more

This cafe is a great place to sit and get lunch, cakes or drinks with indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating has big windows and views across the beach and sea. You can enjoy lovely views of the town and Afon Valley from this high up viewpoint on Pontrhydyfen Viaduct. The viaduct itself was build in 1898 by the Port Talbot Railway.

Starting in the outskirts of Rhigos, this climb takes you past former mining areas and up to the top of Hirwaun Common. The climb passes the fomer Tower Colliery – which used to be the oldest working deep coal mine in the UK but closed in 2008. The climb gives both a feeling of industrial heritage but later the sweeping views of the Hirwaun Common. The first few km are fairly straight but near the summit, there are two switchback hairpins which add an alpine feel to this long-steady climb.

Caswell Bay and its beach is one of the best beach areas in Wales. It is very popular and accessible. It is a great spot for surfers, families and other beachgoers alike. It is a fantastic bay and has good all round amenities.

The car park is approximately 100m from the wheelchair accessible beach and there are toilets, external showers and refreshments nearby. Toilets:  The car park is equipped with a modular Changing Places unit adjacent to the existing toilet block. Please note you will require a combination code to access the unit Two floating beach wheelchairs are available for hire free of charge from Swansea Council, but prior booking is essential.
