Swansea bay is a great long stretch of beach and in one direction you have the city and the other direction you have Mumbles. Theres lots of cafes and places to visit and you can either walk on the footpath or along the beach. There are always lots of shells and things washed up so great for beach combing or exploring with kids

This beautiful reservoir is framed by the stunning mountain scenery of the Brecon Beacons. From the vantage point of the Swidd Valley Trail, you can enjoy a great view of the reservoir and its picturesque surroundings.

The Mumbles Lifeboat Station has been operating since 1835 and has been a well valued addition to the safety of seafarers for nearly two hundred years. A visit to a lifeboat station is always interesting but at the moment there are safety concerns regarding their slipway so lifeboat is moored in the bay and the station and shop are not open at this time. Let's hope they get to return their boat home soon.

Bracelet Bay is a small bay on the south of the Gower Peninsula. It is the first bay one comes to after leaving Swansea Bay and rounding Mumbles Head. Surrounded by limestone cliffs, the bay is pebbly, with some sand. To the west, the bay is separated from Limeslade Bay by Tutt Hill, the location of a coastguard look-out station. A notable feature of the bay is the "Big Apple" kiosk, a concrete structure that was erected by the roadside during the 1930s as an advertising feature and has been a sales outlet ever since. Several similar kiosks were erected along the South Wales coast, but the one in Bracelet Bay is the only example surviving. In 2010 it was largely rebuilt after being damaged by a vehicle the previous year, and in 2019 it was designated a Grade II listed building. The name 'Bracelet' is thought to be a corruption of 'Broad Slade'.

Absolutely fantastic cycle path, intersects with quite a few other routes as well, I’ve ridden this quite a few times & think it’s a cracking path!

This attractive small bay just around the corner from Mumbles Pier is known for its eye-catching rocky shoreline and fantastic views across to Mumbles Lighthouse.

Wonderful views of the much-loved landmark of Mumbles Pier with a backdrop of a few lonely islands that lay just off the coastline.

Mumbles Pier is one of Swansea’s most iconic and recognisable landmarks. The Mumbles Pier is one of only six surviving iron piers in Wales. The 835ft structure is free to walk along and enjoy.

Enjoy the walk that winds along the edge of Cwm Lliedi (Lower) Reservoir and through the woodlands of Swiss Valley offering views over the water and the chance to spot a variety of wildlife.

Great place to canoe or SUP. Organised tours can be arranged or you can self-launch, with permission.

I've done this route many times and thoroughly recommend it. Usually very quiet and good links to the rest of the local network.

Converted from an old railway line once used for transporting coal, this brilliant traffic-free shared trail links Burry Port to Pembrey and the nature reserve beyond. Enjoy this leafy, well-surfaced track past the marshes and through the old railway bridges.

Walk all the way along the pier past the old lifeboat station to check out the newer RNLI funded Mumbles Lifeboat Station and visitor centre.
