Well worth a visit, so much history there.

A short, sharp climb - leading up to the village of Mathry. The village itself was a site of a former Bronze-Age defensive hill fort, acting as a perfect high point to spot an approaching enemy. Today, it's a little more quiet and the locals don't worry about that sort of thing so much.

Evensong each evening in the cathedral at 6:00pm. We were lucky enough to visit when the full cathedral choir was singing.

The centuries-old St Davids Cathedrale, built on the site of a much older religious building, is the reason for the small town of St Davids' preeminent status. Constructed of dark purple sandstone, the sacred building is one of Wales' most famous religious sites. It is tucked away in a sheltered valley on the Alun River. Here you can learn about the history of St. Davids, visit the Treasury and enjoy home-cooked and local food in The Refectory in a welcoming atmosphere. I think it's worth a visit!

The ruins of the Gothic Episcopal Palace lie across the river from the cathedral and provide a good backdrop for open-air theater performances in the summer. A great place to visit. Full of history

The Bishop of St Davids is the ordinary of the Church in Wales Diocese of St Davids. The succession of bishops stretches back to Saint David who in the 6th century established his seat in what is today the city of St Davids in Pembrokeshire, founding St Davids Cathedral.

Quay Street is a picturesque area of Lower Town, Fishguard on the harbour, lined with fisherman's cottages and boats. Be warned - the car park can flood at times (high tides and a storm swell). Also, unless you're heading out to sea, the only way is up, and pretty steeply at that.
