The Arch of Victory, also known as Puerta de la Moncloa or Arco del Triunfo, is a monument located in Madrid. It was built between 1950 and 1956 to commemorate the victory of the rebel side over the Republican side in the Spanish Civil War.

The Moncloa Lighthouse is an iconic viewing point in Madrid, located at Avenida Arco de la Victoria, 2. Standing 110 metres high, it offers stunning panoramic views of the city. The panoramic lift takes you to a platform 92 metres high, from where you can see monuments such as the Royal Palace, the Almudena Cathedral and the Cuatro Torres, with the Guadarrama mountain range in the background.

The monument was made in 1970 and donated by Dª Rafaela Azcúe for the celebrations of the Hispanic Heritage Festival that same year.

The Dehesa de la Villa park, located to the northwest of the city, in the Ciudad Universitaria area, has impressive views of Madrid and its mountains that can be enjoyed from this viewpoint, popularly known as the Cerro de los Locos or de las Balas, which rejoined the park in 1998.

The museum was created in April 1941, taking shape an idea that had been brewing for a very long time with different names such as the Ultramar Library Museum or the Archaeological Museum of the Indies. In 1943, architects Luis Moya and Luis Martínez Feduchi were commissioned to design the current museum headquarters, beginning the same year and finishing in 1954.

From Madrid to the sky. The phrase that so well reflects the best Madrid atmosphere comes true. The panoramic elevator travels 92 meters to take visitors to the great viewpoint of the Moncloa Lighthouse, which emerges in the heart of the University City of Madrid. It is a 110-meter-high lighting tower, built in 1992, the year the city was designated European Capital of Culture.
