Soblahovská fire station via Mníchová Lehota

The Jewish Synagogue in Trenčín is one of the city's most important historical and architectural monuments. Located in the center of Trenčín on Hviezdova Street, it is one of the most beautiful buildings of its kind in Slovakia. The current building was constructed in 1913 according to a design by architect Richard Scheibner.

The present castle was built in the 11th century as a border fortress, guarding important Váž fords and important Carpathian passes, over which trade routes ran connecting the area of northern Hungary and the central Slovak mining towns with Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia and Poland. In the following centuries it became the seat of the border committee, the royal and later the noble county.
