The current Torryvald Folly stands where an old Victorian viewpoint once stood, overlooking the same enchanting scenery that charmed visitors long ago. The name "Torryvald" comes from a long-abandoned township that lay to the north, adding a touch of history to this quirky architectural feature. It might not have a practical purpose, but it’s certainly got character—something to make your journey just that bit more intriguing. Designed as an exciting pleasure walk in the 18th century by the Dukes of Atholl this stretch of river walk with follies, waterfalls, caves and paths is a landscaped wilderness. It's an interesting run, on good trails but with great views and lots of interesting places to stop for a break. It's now managed by the National Trust for Scotland.

Rumbling Bridge is named after the noise of the wild River Braan that flows under it. The waterfall is visible from the bridge, and it's said that at times of high water it roars! It's a useful bridge allowing you to run a good route from Dunkeld. You can run along the River Braan and then after crossing here run back through Ladywell Plantation.
