Quite a busy bridge on B-road to Tenbury. However, water in River Teme is brilliant as always, so may be worth stopping right before the bridge.

Little, though lovely town, on the border of Shropshire and Worcestershire counties. Very beautiful high street with some cafés

Breathtaking views of Teme Valley and Malvern Hills.

Clee Hill ranks 135th hardest cycling climb in the UK. The maximum gradient is 15%, but the average is 5%. 3.3 km. As a result, at the very top (the one which is accessible to road bikes), there's a viewpoint with panoramic views of Teme Valley, Malvern Hills. Road in Clee Hill is the highest A-road in Shropshire.

Great to stop for a coffee or lunch, plenty of pubs and little cafes on the high street. Pembroke House or the Fountain Inn have some really good lunch menus. If you fancy a hill challenge you can take the road from Tenbury to Clee Hill.

Bewdley was once an important inland port, connecting Shrewsbury with the Midlands and the seaports of Gloucester and Bristol. Originally the quays were shorter and had slipways between them. In time, as more landing space was needed, the quayside walls were joined into one continuous length. The larger boats, known as Severn Trows, carried local goods such as rope and charcoal, metal goods from Birmingham and Staffordshire pottery to the south. They returned laden with woollen cloth, wine, spirits, tobacco, sugar, spices, citrus fruit and dried fish to be sold in market towns across the West Midlands and Welsh borders. This civic space was developed when the Environment Agency built the Town's new flood defences, and incorporates work by artist Elizabeth-Jane Grose. On the lower quayside you can find flowing words relating to the river and the vessels that worked on it. Bewdley Bridge over the Severn was built in 1798 by Thomas Telford. It was erected to replace the 1483 medieval bridge that was swept away in the floods of 1795.

Slightly busier road/climb than others in the area but worth it for the panoramic views. Highest A road in Shropshire, no less.

This road bike segment follows a great road along the Teme Valley between Stanford Bridge in the north and down to Shelsley Beauchamp in the south. It's slightly downhill in this direction with the river.

Stanford Bridge over the River Teme. Built in 1905 to replace an earlier bridge on the same site. The earliest recorded bridge here was 1548. The new road bridge visible 45m downstream was built in 1973.

Tenbury Wells is a small town on the Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire border. The river Teme runs through it. there are a large number of listed buildings in Tenbury including several of the iconic 17th century half timber construction.

Bewdley is a small town in the Wyre Forest region of Worcestershire. Situated on the banks of the river Severn this Georgian town has a station on the Severn Valley heritage railway.
