The Woodford has a number of enjoyable winding country roads that are relatively quiet and well-surfaced and offer beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

We stayed here for the Enve Stone Circle Ride and it was absolutely beautiful!

Good trip for hiking or cycling with some interesting history. Not to far from Stonehenge

There's a small cafe just inside the main gate - you can bring your bike in and prop it up on the slope opposite the cafe and purchase some refreshments (without paying the full entry price). There are toilets in the car park too, which might be useful!

Divine road, generally quiet with lovely views either side of you.

Ruins of an ancient settlement with great views of the surrounding area.

Great views from the road over West Hill between Dinton and Wylye. The trig point at the summit is at 198m above sea level.

Beautiful valley between Berwick St John and Alvediston following Crook Hill lane. This is part of the round Wiltshire cycle trail.

English Heritage site, members free. Non members current adult on the day ticket £6.60 (2022). Open 10:00 - 17:00.

Excellent bakery. Got me out of a big hole by supplying a large collection of sausage rolls and other baked goods.

Just past the gate there's a place to fill up your water bottles (it's all signposted)

Classic climb for this area and could be described as a rolling hill. Not the hardest in the area but can be a stinger in any descent length route in the area.
