Broad beach at low tide

This is misnamed. It's not Warkworth castle which is known for its daffs in spring

Alnmouth is famed for its seaside views, tranquil beach, and stone-built houses. Sitting in one of Northumberland's Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it makes for a beautiful scene seeing it from across the Aln estuary here just off the A1068.

This is the old bridge crossing the River Coquet. The water was fast flowing and quite high due to the snow melting yesterday. The new bridge is just to the left of the one in the photo.

This is one of my favourite viewpoints in Britain - the meandering River Aln. It's particularly striking at sunset. The River Aln runs through Northumberland from the Cheviot Hills to the North Sea, here at Alnmouth.

This is a beautiful bench with leaf carvings on the bend of a traffic-free section of NCN 1 near to the village of Alnmouth. The spot offers fantastic views over Alnmouth Estuary.
