Bursfelde Monastery had a major impact on European monastic life with its reforms in the 15th century and therefore has a great history! The complex, parts of which have been preserved today, is particularly impressive with the Romanesque basilica of St. Thomas and St. Nicholas. Definitely worth seeing!

It is unusual that two rivers flow together and change names. The Werra and the Fulda, which flow together here to form the Weser, have beautiful cycle paths along them and you can choose which side of the river you want to go to as far as Bad Karlshafen and change sides with ferries for a small fee. And then the confluence with the Weser has become a landmark thanks to the Weserstein and right next to it is the beautiful Hann. Münden specialist workshop with other sights. Since I come from the region and am constantly on the road by bike, I have been to the Weserstein countless times to start or end my bike tour or just to take a break before continuing my journey.

Not just downhill - but mostly natural. In the shade of the trees (forest passage) it is very pleasant on hot days. Watch out, because the extremely narrow road is asphalted, but has a few potholes and high steps to the barely existing shoulder!
