바크하우젠의 공룡 발자국은 니더작센주 오스나브뤼크 지역의 바트 에센 지자체에 속한 바크하우젠 안 데어 훈테 근처 린너 베르크의 폐쇄된 채석장에 있는 자연 기념물입니다. 약 1억 5천만 년 전(중기 킴메리지안)의 암석 층면에는 후기 쥐라기(말름) 시대의 용각류와 수각류 공룡의 화석 발자국(화석 발자국 연속)이 드러나 있습니다.

베스트팔렌 운하는 베르게스회베데의 나세스 드라이에크(Nasses Dreieck)에서 텍클렌부르거란트 지역의 해발 50.3m 지점에서 도르트문트-엠스 운하에서 분기됩니다. 테토부르거 발트(Teutoburger Wald) 산맥의 산기슭을 그라벤호르스터 슐루흐트(Gravenhorster Schlucht)를 통과하여 북쪽으로 비에네게비르게(Wiehengebirge)를 지나 동쪽으로 이어집니다. 브람셰(Bramsche)에서는 하제(Hase) 강을 건너고, 오스나브뤼크(Osnabrück) 지선 운하가 남쪽으로 분기됩니다. 민덴(Minden)에서는 미텔란트 운하(Mittellandkanal)가 두 개의 수로교를 통해 베저(Weser) 강을 건너며, 두 개의 연결 운하와 함께 민덴 수로 교차로를 형성합니다. 북쪽 연결 운하에는 오래된 수문과 새로운 베저 수문이 있습니다. 남쪽 연결 운하는 산업 항구와의 연결을 제공하는 두 개의 추가 수문을 포함합니다. 샤움부르거 발트(Schaumburger Wald)와 슈타인후데어 메어(Steinhuder Meer) 남쪽을 지나 하노버 근처의젤체(Seelze)까지 계속됩니다. 여기서 두 개의 다리와 그 사이의 짧은 구간을 통해 라인(Leine) 계곡을 건넙니다. 기존에 존재했지만 현재는 임시로만 사용되는 '알테 파르트(Alte Fahrt)'는 원래 폭 그대로 확장 공사를 통해, 북쪽에 평행하게 건설되어 1999년에 개통된 '노이에 파르트(Neue Fahrt)'로 보완되었습니다.[3] 하노버-린덴(Hannover-Linden) 지선 운하와 그 라인 연결 운하를 통해 라인 강과 이메(Ihme) 강으로 연결됩니다. 계속해서 미텔란트 운하는 하노버 북부와 동부를 안데르텐 수문(Schleuse Anderten)까지 통과하며, 이곳에서 수위가 14.70m 상승합니다.
