This geopoint north of Königslutter opens a window into the geological past - a world you can touch and understand. It is a collection of more than 300 Scandinavian and local boulders. They come almost exclusively from a single site close to Königslutter. During two ice ages, the glacier and inland ice masses coming from northern Europe penetrated across Königslutter and the Elm to the northern edge of the Harz Mountains. Here in the boulder garden, a landscape formed by a glacier has been faithfully recreated - flanked by an ice age landscape and a historic forest. The forest adventure trail and playground complement the ensemble.
