08/05/2022 The fire in a forest near Königslutter is now under control. The extinguishing work of the fire brigade was made more difficult by the lack of water supply. Farmers helped out. More than 80 vehicles and a total of 400 firefighters were on duty until Friday morning, and the Braunschweig airport fire brigade also supported the extinguishing work. The problem for the fire brigade was getting enough water to the forest near the Lauingen district. Many farmers from the area helped by bringing water with their tractors. However, the fire has not yet been completely extinguished. According to the information, the firefighters will probably have to deal with it all day.
