The Huder Bach stream powers the monastery mill in Hude, at least it used to. It is idyllically situated on the Huder Bach stream, in a setting with the monastery ruins, the monastery tavern, and the villa and garden of the von Witzleben family.

Unfortunately, none of the Scottish Highland cattle were to be seen today. Even binoculars were of no use. It's not a zoo, after all, but a forest pasture.

It's exciting to watch the takeoffs and landings at the Große Höhe gliding site. Sometimes there are also opportunities to fly in the middle of a two-seater. I can only recommend it, it's fun.
