The tour along the Weser is a great experience

On the path that runs parallel to the southern edge of the Heisterholz, this bench lures you with a beautiful view south to Todtenhausen. I've taken a few short breaks here. Only the tick warning should be taken seriously and behave accordingly cautiously.

The windmill Todtenhausen (also called Valentinsmühle; mill route no. 11), not to be confused with the nearby second windmill in Todtenhausen (Großenheider Königsmühle; mill route no. 12), is visible from afar high above the Weser valley immediately above the Weser cycle path. The Valentinsmühle is an earth Dutchman from 1858 with a conical brick tower plastered on the weather side. Since the restoration in 1991, she again has a hood with wind-moving sails and a compass rose. The namesake Heinrich Klöpper, called "Valentin", originally had a water mill built here, but gave it up again after a short time due to a lack of water; the mill pond was only filled in in 1963/64. The windmill was operated by the owner family until it was shut down at the end of the 1960s, and was also leased to other millers at times. A diesel engine was also installed between 1920 and 1935, which was replaced by an electric motor in 1942.
