Herrick Lake Forest Preserve is an 887 acre preserve located in south Wheaton near Napierville. It's a great place for hiking, biking or just walking. It's also a great place to see the autumn colors over nearby Herrick lake.

Indian Knoll Road is a quiet back road that takes you through Timber Ridge Forest Road. It's a great road to make your way over to St. Charles or South Elgin.

This is where the Wheaton Bike Route Network intersects with Illinois Prairie Path Aurora Branch. While most parts of the Illinois Prairie Path is unpaved, it is hard packed stone, so you could ride it with a road bike with thicker tires.

Adams Park is a nice green urban green space in Naperville. The park has restrooms, benches, and a coffee shop, so it is a good place for a break during a ride.

​Graf Park is an 18.7-acre community park with a synthetic turf field, playground, picnic areas, and a paved walking path. Every 4th of July, it hosts the Independence Day fireworks celebration.

Step into 1854 at the Batavia Depot Museum, a historic Gothic Revival railroad depot. Here you can find exhibits on Batavia’s rail history, windmill production, agriculture, and commerce—even a visit from Mary Todd Lincoln. The depot is registered on the National Register of Historic Places. Don’t miss the chance to send a telegraph message in Morse code!

Rathje Park is a small, family-friend, local park that features open spaces, lakes, shaded areas, and paved trails, making it a good spot for a quick break or a brief ride.
