The Ladder to Heaven, The Shepherd on the Ochsenberg Wow! At this magical intersection between the Christian Wilhelm Trail and the Wolfsschlucht Trail, the adventure of the climb to the "Black Mountain" begins! The steep path, known as the "Ladder to Heaven," is about 2 meters wide and crisscrossed by root-filled soil exposed by rain. But don't worry, this challenging climb was recently secured with logs and is now safer (with about 50 steps)! Those who continue along the Christian Wilhelm Trail will experience the most varied and longest hiking trail through the Dölauer Heide! And after climbing the Ladder to Heaven, the climb continues up to the Bischofswiese meadow.
