An impressive building complex. The name "Alte Baumwoll" (Old Cotton Mill) is symbolic of one of Saxony's oldest spinning mills, which operated continuously for such a long period. The mill thus holds special significance for the town and the region. "Alte Baumwoll" was not only a major economic force, but its distinctive industrial architecture continues to shape Flöha's cityscape. The Euba Dam is located in Euba, an eastern district of Chemnitz in the Free State of Saxony. The dam was built from 1911 to 1914 to supply water to the steam locomotives in the Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf marshalling yard. The wall is made of rock extracted from the neighboring quarry, later known as Lake Eibsee, and transported to the reservoir by field railway. Wikipedia
