The Euba Dam is located in Euba, an eastern district of Chemnitz in the Free State of Saxony. The dam was built from 1911 to 1914 to supply water to the steam locomotives in the Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf marshalling yard. The wall is made of rock extracted from the neighboring quarry, later known as Lake Eibsee, and transported to the reservoir by field railway. Wikipedia
