The route is beautiful to cycle on. However, there are limitations: it's extremely difficult in strong winds and in blazing sun... Otherwise, it leads beautifully along the moor.

Overall, it's quite boring to ride because it's so long. But it's okay as a short change of pace between trails or forest paths.

The former station building of the narrow-gauge railway with the recently reopened VVM museum is a real gem. A visit on a Sunday is recommended. The narrow-gauge railway route can be easily followed by bike. It is a very dark spot in Hamburg's museum history that this impressive narrow-gauge railway has not been preserved because those responsible at the time lacked the foresight and imagination, although railway enthusiasts tried to do so back then - a real shame, it would be a real highlight today!
