Beautiful park for young and old

A place with many possibilities, it's best to first drive up to the Schwedenschanze and stop there on the weekend. The route downhill to Rottenstein is easy to cycle to, and you'll reach the village in no time. From there, you have a beautiful view of the foothills of the Hassberge Mountains.

Cycle path signs are located at intersections and indicate the direction of your destination and the distance. The signs are also supplemented with small pictograms of the themed routes. It's good to know where to go if you don't have a navigation system.

The Rottenstein Castle is hidden on the southern edge of the Haßberge Mountains, not far from Nuremberg, and is an insider tip for anyone who enjoys hiking along historic trails through quiet forests. Among the leaves and rocks, you'll find the remains of an old castle complex, now overgrown with moss and forest ferns. The atmosphere here is uniquely tranquil. An information panel provides information about this historic site.
