Kalama Park is a spacious park with athletic fields, courts, skating rink, pavilions, and a giant metal whale sculpture. This beach has nice waves and is a better surfing destination than some other nearby beaches.

Haleakalā's summit currently resides at 10,023 feet. It is believed that it once sat at 15k feet, but it is so heavy that the volcano is sinking into the earth's crust. Today, the volcano is 28,000 feet above the sea floor making it the THIRD tallest mountain on earth!

The Mamane Trail is a nice trail on the island of Maui, that provides the opportunity to explore the area's high-elevation wilderness, with panoramic views of the island's volcanic landscape and endemic flora, including mamane trees.

Polipoli Spring State Recreation Area is a state park on the island of Maui. The area is located at an elevation of 6,200 feet, so you will experience a cooler wet climate. Not to mention the views of the Maui Coast are stunning from the high up vantage points.

Kahakapao Loop Trail is a popular multi-use trail in the Makawao Forest Reserve on the island of Maui. It is mainly used for mountain biking and hiking as it winds through lush forest. Enjoy the shade of the trees, the peaceful sound of flowing streams, and beautiful flora along the way.

This trail leads into the crater of Haleakalā Volcano, also known as Keonehe'ehe'e. This most stunning route section offers panoramic views that defy the imagination. As you continue your run down the trail, be aware of the loose gravel, as it can cause loose rocks and sand to find their way into your shoes. The descent can also be deceiving, so watch your energy for the challenge back to the trailhead.
