I agree with @Tichi. The route is truly dangerous; the cars drive fast and show little consideration for the bikers. I've never been more scared for myself than on this route! Take care 🐞☘️.

Recommended in both directions. Pleasantly cool in summer thanks to the Lorze and the shade of the trees. There are always beautiful, flat sections of the river, also for swimming.

The Verena Chapel is a Catholic chapel on the edge of the Zugerberg forest (Blasenbergstrasse) that is protected as a cultural asset. It used to be located far above the city of Zug, but today new residential quarters have moved quite close. The baroque building was built between 1705 and 1710 on the former steep mountain path to Ägeri. It also included a hermit's cottage!
