There are a few different routes to make your way upto Abney but this for me is one of the best. It's hilly all the way up but plateauxs a few times before climbing up again, it's generally always very quiet and offers wonderful views over Hope Valley as you climb. There are a few trails leading off the road that are great if you are on a gravel bike or similar too.

Steep to start but levels out a little as you head around the corner before ramping up again a bit. Lovely views in all directions.

One of the best roads in the Peak District, frequently has me in tears (in a good way).

It's not the highest or toughest in the Peak District, but it's quiet and pretty and enjoyable to ride.

Brilliant climb with stunning views, easily one of my favourite Peaks climbs. Usually it's fairly quiet car-wise along here too. Although I always underestimate this climb, it really does go on and on and on - as do the great views😁
