The parish church of St. Martin in Hopferau combines elements of late Gothic and Baroque architecture. Originally built in 1504 as a castle chapel and dedicated to St. Sebastian, it was expanded between 1886 and 1889 to become the parish church it serves today: the nave was lengthened, a new choir with corner pilasters, and a choir flanking tower with an onion dome were added. The interior includes ceiling frescoes from 1899 depicting St. Martin and St. Sebastian, an altarpiece by Johann Michael Franz, a Pietà by Bartholomäus Steinle, and an organ by Balthasar Andreas Pröbstl from 1888, which was restored in 2010. The church is a protected architectural monument, an active place of worship in the Seeg parish community, and a worthwhile destination for visitors interested in art, architecture, and regional history.

Lake Faulensee, located above Rieden am Forggensee, is a small moorland lake surrounded by forest and meadows. The natural experience is magnificent. A vast network of hiking and biking trails in the immediate vicinity makes Lake Faulensee an ideal destination. Just a stone's throw from Rieden and Hopfen, it's perfect for a short stroll. But even multi-hour hikes through the diverse landscape can include Lake Faulensee as a destination or stopover. Lake Faulensee can only be reached on foot, by bike, or on horseback.

The Alatsee is slightly hidden, but a visit will offer a fantastic view in a picturesque setting.

The Ach, also called Hopfensee-Ach, is the outflow of the Hopfensee. It flows through the Ostallgäu and finally flows into the Lech. The Ach plays an important role in the water regulation and the ecological cycle of the lake. Together, the Hopfensee and the Ach offer natural relaxation and are a wonderful example of the harmonious connection of lakes and rivers in the Alpine landscape.

The Hopfensee drains to the south via the Hopfensee Ach/Achen. After a bend to the east, the Ach flows into the Forggensee. Depending on the light, the Hopfensee Ach offers a worthwhile photo opportunity next to the lake.
