Very steep by bike but doable with enough patience and strength. The Neue Passstraße is much flatter, but there are quite a lot of cars on the road.

The Tannheimer Valley is a high valley located approximately 1,100 meters above sea level in the Tannheimer Mountains, part of the Allgäu Alps in the Tyrolean district of Reutte. When I'm in Haldensee, I feel a surge of ❤️. The valley is simply beautiful💯👍

The stunning landscape behind Lake Vilsalpsee is breathtaking. A detour to the waterfall behind the Vilsalpe (approx. 30-40 minutes) is worthwhile.

I'm currently on the cycling side, but an Allgäu hiker should have climbed the Grünten, even though it's quite steep. The mountain is still very popular.

To my shame, I have to admit I was going downhill and didn't need the bench. The view is fantastic, though, with and without the bench, which I unfortunately missed. Sorry, Oliver, I have a few more pictures from further up, from the road to Wertach.

One of the most beautiful bike paths I know leads through the Tannheimer Valley... great panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and a very pleasant ride...
