Built between 1960 and 1962, two Voith-Kaplan turbines generate 1.8 MW of electrical energy. This is enough to power a single-family home for about half a year, thus disproving the myth that renewable energy isn't worth it! In contrast, all the drilling, baby, drilling is completely pointless! It's destroying our planet; we're still fighting wars over resources, even though the sun provides 10,000 times more energy. We finally need to unlock this potential; balcony power plants are a great first step! Small contribution, big impact!

Near Biessenhofen, the trail crosses the Wertach River. I continued straight into the forest. But there are other paths along the water.
