The so-called "Görlitz Railway" (Berlin – Cottbus – Görlitz) began operations in 1867. Since the end of World War II in 1945, the Lübbenau – Cottbus section has been a single-track line. This poses a major obstacle to adapting services to the significantly increasing demand. Forecasts predict that passenger numbers on the "Görlitz Railway" will increase by 95 percent by 2030 compared to 2019. The i2030 project (https://www.i2030.de/) is advancing the double-track expansion of the 29-kilometer line between Lübbenau and Cottbus. This will significantly increase the capacity of the currently single-track line and make operations more stable. This will enable the introduction of a continuous hourly service throughout the day between Berlin and the university town of Cottbus. The Spreewald tourist region will also benefit from the improved connections. As part of the expansion work at Raddusch station, a second track will be laid and a second platform will be built on the new track. The new platform will be barrier-free. More information about the expansion project can be found at: https://www.i2030.de/suedost/.

Hidden stop from which you can get to Berlin or Cottbus every hour. It is a single-track station that has not yet been expanded, so there is a larger distance between the platform and the carriage.

The diameter of the original Slavic castle of Raddusch was 38 m inside and 58 m outside. The castle was surrounded by a moat about 5.5 meters wide. Two tunnel gates led into the interior of the 7 meter high wall. In the castle courtyard there were 4 wooden wells, one of which was almost 14 meters deep. During the excavation, many things were found in this well, which are now displayed in the fascinating fountain display case. Building structures were found in the castle courtyard that were mainly used as granaries and warehouses.

Kahnsdorfer See The smallest and shallowest of the three remaining Vetschau lakes is located in the Kahnsdorf district (now Raddusch district) of the devastated village of the same name. After reaching the drainage level at 57.2 m above sea level, it will have a water surface of approx. 58 hectares and will then drain into the former settling basin via the Kahnsdorfer Feldgraben in the direction of Raddusch. In contrast to the Bischdorfer See, which is used for tourism, it will be left to itself and will thus produce its own undisturbed biodiversity.

The Slavic castle of Raddusch is a replica of a Slavic refuge castle that is largely true to the original and is located near the village of Raddusch in the Brandenburg Niederlausitz, which is now part of the town of Vetschau/Spreewald. It is considered a museum.
