Great beach, well-maintained sandy beach, and a nice little stall selling drinks, ice cream, and small snacks. The climbing forest is nearby, a great location for families.

Very nice café with a microbrewery. Friendly hosts, delicious beer - a worthwhile destination for a hike. (For example, you can take the bus back to Erkner, which stops right outside the front door.) Thanks to Dan Cole and Yvonne Hartmann for the inspiration: The tip comes from their book "Bierwandern Berlin".

The Hof-Café, which has been open since the beginning of 2022, offers beer ice cream as a specialty (if you like it 😊) and, as an alternative, real beer from the smallest brewery in Brandenburg. Quote from the operators: "In the middle of the (Corona) crisis in 2020, the idea arose to expand the planned café at Flügel's Hof to serve home-brewed beer. With a 50-liter brewing system and three fermentation tanks, Flügelbräu was created as the smallest brewery in Brandenburg. Our beers stand for traditional craftsmanship, modernity, a sense of home and openness to new recipes...". More information at: https://www.fluegels-hof.de/

A little excursion into history, the canal and the lake are only there because Berlin needed a lot of sand for the construction sites. Today the lake is beautiful for campers and beavers. There is a lot of bedstraw near the high-voltage power line, and in June the sun can shine strongly. Many butterflies can also be admired then.
