The Waldcafé Görden appears to be abandoned. The site looks very deserted today (October 19, 2025).

I started from Hotel Axxon. Thus, the route can be a maximum of 10km long before the path ends directly at the canal. Nice stick.

The Waldcafé Görden, formerly Kaffeehaus Görden, located on the edge of the Görden Forest and not far from Lake Görden, is a well-known restaurant with a long tradition. However, its reputation had a somewhat dubious aspect during the GDR era, as the dances held in the restaurant's hall were heavily attended by soldiers from the nearby National People's Army bases. Left to decay after reunification, efforts are now underway to revive the Waldcafé Görden, albeit with a significantly altered appearance, and make it a popular destination once again. Currently, it looks very much like a construction site.

An easily accessible dike path leads around the Münchwerder peninsula.
