Selchow Castle, built in 1913 as a bourgeois summer residence for a prominent industrialist, is situated directly adjacent to the Gross-Schauener-Seenkette nature reserve. Now, the 1,200 m² villa with its 2-hectare park offers the comforts of a boutique hotel, including a 150 m² spa (sauna/cold plunge pool), cinema, bar, library, fireplace, and billiards.

The Storkow region is home to rare salt marshes, among the largest of their kind in Europe. You can discover this unique natural phenomenon on the Salt Trail. From the eight-meter-high observation tower in the Marschallwiesen, you'll have a sweeping view of the landscape – ideal for observing cranes and many other bird species in their natural habitat.

For a hundred years, it has defied wind and man, rain and dune retreat – and seems to have only grown stronger. Here, in the midst of the Brandenburg pine sea, this tree speaks of steadfastness. Of adaptation. And of the quiet dignity of one who does not complain, but grows. Everyone who stands before it suddenly falls silent. Perhaps because they sense: This pine has understood more about life than many a person with sturdy shoes.
