Coal Creek Open Space offers a number of beginner to intermediate trails. You'll find double and single track here, and if you need more of a challenge the advanced lines at Sunset Open Space are just a quick pedal to the East.

The Coal Creek Trail is a long double track trail that runs between the towns Superior, Louisville, Lafayette and Erie. It's an easy, beginner ride perfect for those interested in riding off road.

The St. Vrain River Greenway is the "crown jewel" of Longmont's trail system as it links many parks, schools, other trails, and commercial areas via an attractive, well-maintained concrete path. This is a great way to get off the roads as you ride around Longmont!

If you’re looking for a tranquil escape, head to Erie Lake, a reservoir located just 1.8 miles from Lafayette, in Boulder County. This shallow lake is ideal for fishing and birdwatching, and offers stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. You can also enjoy a picnic on the grassy shore, or take a leisurely walk around the lake on the trail. For a more adventurous experience, book a hot air balloon ride and soar over the lake and the surrounding countryside. You’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramas and a sense of freedom.

Well maintained multi use path along the Saint Vrain River. Though it leads through the middle of the city it very much feels like being out in the nature. You pedal along green meadows and follow the meandering waters of the river. You can spot a lot of different birds here and parks and small lakes offer nice places for a rest.
