The Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park is a paradise for birdwatching and enjoying nature. In the lowlands of the Nuthe and Nieplitz rivers, you'll see colorful meadows, hooting cranes, and storks searching for food. Ospreys and sea eagles circle over the lakes, while thousands of geese and cranes rest in the shallow waters – the observation towers offer the best views. In the wild south, you'll experience heathlands and forests, where even wolves live. A network of hiking trails leads you to quiet places and regional delicacies. The renaturalized wetlands demonstrate how successful nature conservation creates biodiversity. Tip: The Nature Park Center at the Glauer Tal game reserve is the perfect starting point for your journey of discovery in the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park, where you'll receive valuable tips for your stay and find a daily program for the whole family. You can go stalking in the adjacent game reserve and observe red deer, fallow deer, and mouflon under near-natural conditions. 🦌 🦅 🐺

The meadows of the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park provide an ideal resting place for countless waders and water birds during their migration. The grassland, flooded by the two rivers Nuthe and Nieplitz, is a wilderness area of around 7,000 hectares.

A nice little museum, also with an outdoor area. Open Thurs-Sun 12pm-5pm. The museum tavern has good food and you can also sit in the garden. Partly open Wed to Sun for lunch until 5pm or 6pm.
