She published her first novel, Elizabeth, anonymously. The book's success led her to sign subsequent works as "Author of Elizabeth and Her German Garden," which became her trademark. Here in front of the Löcknitz-Penkun office there is a bronze statue of the former night watchman Bartel, who was on duty here with his cat over 100 years ago. In my opinion, the area around the statues could have been designed a little more beautifully. As it is, they are standing more or less directly at the crossroads!
