The Stechlin has excellent water quality and, at 70 metres, is the deepest lake in Brandenburg. It also became famous through Theodor Fontane's books. From the north bay you have a wonderful view over the large lake.

Lake Stechlin is probably one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in Brandenburg. You can walk around the lake on the shore path.
