The Bayview Campground would offer a good parking lot. However, it is now closed until Spring 2025. Maybe one has to consider parking along the street during day trips.

Very Nice and Easy trail for all, ride it from Tahoe City all the way to Palisades if you like. beautiful scenery and views along the Truckee River.

Carnelian Beach West is a small community on the waterfront. There are 530 feet of public beach. Parking is free in the parking lot adjacent to Gar Woods Grill and Pier restaurant. Leashed dogs are welcome here as well.

Tahoe Rim Trail is a stunning trail that runs through some trees along a mountain side. Along the trail, there are overlooks of the preserve land as it runs down into the vast Lake Tahoe. If you suffer from decision-making like myself, this area is a real challenge because of how many amazing trails you can tie into your ride!
